Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Craftsman Labs, the company behind ReadCraft. By creating an account or using ReadCraft, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use ReadCraft.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you are, and that the information you give us is accurate.

You are responsible for your account and for what happens under it. Keep your password private, use one you do not use elsewhere, and tell us promptly at thecraftsmanlabs@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Your username is public to other signed-in readers. You may not choose a username or name that impersonates someone else or is offensive.

Be kind and use ReadCraft as intended. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, or abuse other readers;
• post spam, or use the app to send unwanted messages or follow requests in bulk;
• add illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights, for example in a book's details or a cover link;
• pretend to be another person or organisation;
• scrape, copy at scale, or collect other readers' information, or try to get around the privacy, blocking or access settings;
• probe, disrupt or attack the service, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.

You keep ownership of what you add to ReadCraft, such as your profile details and photo, the books and shelves you create, and any details you enter for a book.

To run the app, you give Craftsman Labs a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display that content within ReadCraft, to you and to other readers as your privacy settings allow. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups kept for a short time and information already shown to others.

You are responsible for your content and must have the right to use it, including any photo you upload.

You decide whether your account is public or private, who can see your reading activity, and whom you block. Please respect other readers' choices. If someone blocks you or hides their activity from you, do not try to get around it.

Book recommendations are suggestions made with the help of an AI service from the choices you give. They can be wrong, incomplete or not to your taste, and match percentages are only a guide. We do not promise that a suggested book is suitable, available or accurately described.

Book details, covers and links come from third-party services such as Google Books and Open Library, and from other readers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their accuracy or availability, or for the websites you reach through links. Their own terms apply when you use them.

We work to keep ReadCraft running, but it may be unavailable at times, and it is provided without a promise of uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that significantly affects you, we will try to give notice.

You can stop using ReadCraft at any time. To delete your account, email thecraftsmanlabs@gmail.com from the address you signed up with (see the Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other readers at risk. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

ReadCraft, its design, logo, text and software belong to Craftsman Labs or its licensors and are protected by law. These terms let you use ReadCraft; they do not give you ownership of any of it, and you may not copy or reuse it except as the law allows or we agree in writing. Book covers and descriptions belong to their respective owners.

ReadCraft is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free, always available, or that content from other readers or services is accurate.

To the extent the law allows, Craftsman Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of ReadCraft, and our total liability for any claim is limited to [AMOUNT TO BE CONFIRMED]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using ReadCraft after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
